Event overview of the WIBA Charity Tournament 2015
The first golf event was held in March 2014, in which funds were raised for St Bernads Primary School in Ramotswa and Gakuto Primary School in Gaborone. This involved purchase of stationery for administration of both schools.
Following a massive interest to play Golf at the launch of the Golf Clinic, women have been challenged to play the sport in order to advance their businesses. This day closely ties with the International Woman’s Day, which is usually celebrated in March.
WIBA Golf Day established its footprint in March 2014. Golf has always been known to be the gentleman’s sport and reality is that women were lagging behind.
This largely contributed to the fact that they don’t have the necessary skills in playing the game.
