The Events management workshop
This introductory course was to get fresh perspective on how an entrepreneur can make use of creating events in especially when promoting their products.
The target audience which attended the training in large numbers include the event’s organisers, hotel and guest owners, fashion designers, recycling and waste management business owners, fund raising committees.
The reason this course was introduced is that there is sometimes a small business person might not have an advertising; hence the budgets constraints achieved through this form of Public relations can just be as effective as advertising.
The trainees were able to know how to make proposals, prepare budgets, venue managements, logistics, promotions, evaluations and others. By popular demand, another module will be prepared for members who expressed interest in continuing to learn more in depth. Information update will be circulated soon.
Website training workshop
As technology is evolving and there are free platforms where members can utilise internet tools, WIBA hosted the website boot camp. This boot camp was to have the members be able to make use of internet facilities that allow on to own a website and relatively no charge. This stems from the fact that most members are in business but do not have website to promote their products. In this workshop, participants were able to make use of the available tools that allowed them to brand their businesses, place photos of the products that they sell, make tabs, and write content for website, measure rankings in the search engines among other things. This two day workshop has led to some members actually converting their dummy website into a fully published website.
