Capacity Building Programs

The main objectives of this initiatives were:               

1. Lobby to have WIBA members possess a group account and at the same time utilize the professional expertise from the banking institution in areas of financial wealth and investment

2. Launch of the WIBA membership and loyalty card.

 


Courtesy of European Commission, members got to learn about the standards and norms of trading with the EU. The targeted industries which have been identified to have potential for growth include handcrafts, leather, wood and textiles.

This much needed training was after it was realized that members occasionally interacted with investors, partners and business community. The course content included:

For addressing issues related to business survival, WIBA recognized the need for the women business community to have full support of business experts. WIBA enjoys full partnership of mentoring and coaching organizations such as Tokafala and Center for Development of Enterprise (CDE).
