WOMEN IN BUSINESS Association has announced its new National Executive Committee. Elections for this new committee were held on 22nd July 2017 during an Annual General meeting held at Maharaja Conference centre, in Gaborone. The elections saw Nametso Ntsosa-Carr emerge as the new President of the Association.Carr has determined that in her term she intends on pursuing and achieving empowerment of women businesses of all types, reaching out to female led and owned businesses
throughout the country. She says it is important that the association elevate.s the voice of business women as a whole. Women who say, "We work hard, we build and we
just need an occasional helping hand to raise us to meet the opportunity , "that is what WIBA is there for. "I · am grateful forthe wonderful work of our predecessors, now forward we go." .she said Dμring her address to the AGM, the putgoing President Tumi Mbaakanyi corp.municated their achievement of the strategic plan during her two-year tenure. She further emphasized commitment and passion to all members and epcouraged them to participate more and· to take ownership of the association in order to grow. Each of the ladies are strong business women who have walked their own entrepreneurship ourneys. They have offered themselves to serve in this committee in order to impart some
of their knowledge, experience and expertise with other business women, share their stories to empower and inspire all. The mandate of  WIBA is to inspire wealth creation and promote the participation of women in the economy through advocacy, training, mentoring and linkages. for women owned business through various regional and international platforms the association strives to deliver excellence and leadership in Women in Business.

  • Tumi Mbaakanyi

    Tumi is a Financial Consultant in private practice. Her over 15 years’ experience covers; internal audits, external audits, due diligences, corporate renewals, corporate strategy facilitations, risk management, quality management systems (QMS)etc
     
     
     
  • Marcia Goabaone Sento

    I am also passionate about women and youth participation including disadvantaged people whom I recognize their potential in moving this country forward. I respect the saying “disability is not inability’’.
